May Day Retreat - 29th April to 2rd May 2005
You are invited to join the Midlands Sangha regional retreat. This is the traditional first day of summer and we are invited to rural Herefordshire, near the Welsh border.
Our hosts, Elaine and Paul, are sangha members and founders of Buddhist Ecology Link. Their house is a model of ecological design and surrounded by a beautiful garden.
This is a real opportunity to Touch the Earth. We can camp or use a variety of intriguing huts and chalets, as well as dining in the conservatory.
Activities can include walking in some very tranquil countryside, touching the garden with each sense, hugging the trees and picking your own salad. A highlight is peeing on the compost heap practice!
Starting 6pm Friday evening 29th April and finishing at lunchtime on Monday May 2nd.
Our hosts are offering the very reasonable price of £55 per person for the 3 days, including vegan food.
Please book as soon as possible. The idea is to give priority to Midlands sangha (and near neighbours). Places are limited to about 20, due to the size of the cottage.
First come first served, so dont delay too long ..
Book by sending a cheque payable to our hosts Gaia Partnership, but posted to me John Newson, 32 Alder Road, Balsall Heath Birmingham B12 8BS (0121-449-3977)
Further details will then follow! John
